Turkey opens first official nudist hotel

Update to "The Complete Guide..."

Further to "Chapter 7 Naturism and the Law - where nudity's a no-no", the situation regarding Turkey seems to be changing.

The Adaburnu-Gelmar Hotel, located in Datça near the well-known resort of Marmaris, is to be the first nudist hotel in Turkey, whose population is Muslim by an overwhelming majority and which – despite steadfastly maintaining a secular society, holds up rather traditional and conservative values.
Although its main target will be attracting foreign tourists, Turks who make a reservation through a foreign tour operator, as they can be classified as tourists, will also be allowed to stay at the hotel.
The hotel will allow nudity on the hotel grounds from 8am to 8pm, according to international media reports.
“Whilst guests are expected to cover up indoors, there is a pool bar serving drinks and an outdoor dining terrace by the pool where guests may eat au-naturel,” an advertisement for the hotel on the Peng Travel website reads. “The hotel has its own serviced naturist beach a 20 minute drive away and provides a free shuttle service.”

See the Peng Travel Website for details.
